Most engines leave the factory tuned to cover every market, fuel grade and climate, which leaves power and throttle response on the table.
A software tune rewrites the maps in your engine control unit (ECU) and transmission control unit (TCU) to adjust boost, ignition timing, fueling and shift behavior. On most platforms there are no parts to install for a Stage 1 tune.
We start by checking the car for faults, leaks and worn parts, because a tune won't fix a problem that's already there. You'll know what we found and what the tune will cost before we flash anything.

Every tune starts with an inspection and a quote, and we save your factory file before anything changes.

Questions about tuning
Is an ECU tune safe for my engine?
When it's done correctly, yes. We use tunes from established software developers that stay within the limits of the engine's internal parts and keep the factory safety systems working. A healthy engine and on-schedule maintenance matter more after a tune, not less.
Do I need to upgrade parts to get a tune?
Not for a Stage 1 tune, which is written for a stock vehicle. A Stage 2 tune needs supporting parts, usually an upgraded intake, intercooler or exhaust, depending on the platform.
Will a tune affect my warranty?
It can. A manufacturer may deny a powertrain claim if it can show the tune caused the failure. We save your factory file so the car can be returned to stock, and we'll talk through the risk for your vehicle before you decide.
Do you tune domestic vehicles?
